Sometimes you feel like you have zero time while you’re in school. Focusing on your own projects is a great way to get lost. The SDA gives you an opportunity to see design’s big picture. Whether you have no time or a lot of time, there’s a bunch of ways you can get involved in the SDA.

Ways to get involved:

• Social Networks Follow the Twitter, like the SDA on Facebook. Post design work that inspires you on our wall. Comment on other posts.
• Talk Get off the computer and get up in our face. Ask someone involved in the SDA: “what’s happening with the SDA?”
• Volunteer Email Davis Levine at volunteer@thesda.ca and just tell him you want to help. You could help with setup at an event or work the door.
• Submit Designs for a Show When we do shows, we want everyone to have a chance to submit things. Don’t be shy, just send us a submission. Bonus points if you collaborate with other students. We LOVE that sort of thing.
• Big Ideas Sometimes projects are bigger than we are. The SDA wants to help designers make those big ideas happen. It’s better to ask someone for help than let these ideas wither on the vine. We can try to help make it happen.
