3D Design Intern at John Fluevog Shoes


John Fluevog Shoes is looking for a full time 3D Design Intern from February 1st, 2018 to July 31st, 2018. Office Hours are 10am – 6pm (Monday-Friday), paid at minimum wage.

As an intern, you will gain valuable insight into the world of footwear design, development and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates for the internship are Canadian residents over the age of 19 and have previous experience working in 3D design such as industrial design or architecture. You must have an interest in fashion and a keen sense of three dimensional form. Current students and graduates from design programs will also be considered.

3D Intern Responsibilities

• Assisting with 3D modelling tasks, preparing files for 3D printing,

adjusting existing 3D files, organizing files

• Operation of 3D printer and 3D scanner, cleaning equipment and

handling prototypes

• Handling and organizing shipments

• Preparing technical documents and drawings

• Photographing and cataloguing samples

• Assisting with various Design Department tasks as required

• 3D tasks may include but are not limited to heels, soles, lasts,

hardware, accessories, car parts, boat parts, and store elements


• Strong proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D, 3D rendering software (such as

Keyshot), Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office

• Experience with digital fabrication including 3D printing

• Ability to translate two dimensional drawings to three dimensional

models and vice versa

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

• Able to work full-time during the internship

• Ability to be creative on a tight deadline

• Technically savvy and quick to grasp new skills and software

• Legal to work in Canada without sponsorship from the company

• Creative, positive and proactive

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in photography, including editing/taking pictures

• Experience in fashion or footwear is a plus
