Job Title: Human Centered Design Coordinator

Salary Range: $50,425 to $68,486 per year

The Physician Learning Program (PLP) is housed in the Office of Lifelong Learning, and supports the FOMD mission to enhance the knowledge and skills of community practitioners. The Physician Learning Program's mandate is to support physicians and teams in advancing practice by addressing their learning needs, and providing information, practice data, and feedback reports. This has extended to include implementation science and knowledge transfer activities to advance practice for physicians and their teams in Alberta.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and supervised by the Human Centred Design Lead, the Human Centred Design Coordinator (HCD Coordinator) plays an important role in helping the office of Lifelong Learning and the Physician Learning Program develop and complete projects with human centred design elements. In particular, the HCD Coordinator has strong skills with web and app design and development, and will help design and develop a variety of information platforms and tools.

The Human Centred Design Coordinator will work collaboratively as a part of the PLP team to help identify specific user needs, engage in brainstorming of initial concepts, and execute ideas using visual and interaction design knowledge. The HCD Coordinator has skills in human-centred design and carefully considers the project from a range of perspectives, including user’s high-level needs and objectives, the situation of use, and the goals people need to achieve in the given circumstances. The HCD Coordinator will possess the skills necessary to consider the fine details of User Interface components, labels, and flows to help all users achieve their goals.
