Deciding our path forward has been a challenge; a million ideas are brought to the table with the intent to top what we have already done and achieved. We wanted to set goals which: we could all feel passionate about; achieve our goal of getting student design out to the world around us; but most importantly, we want to build a strong community that we can all lean on when we need to. Goals are meant to push people past where they have been, but these goals are just plans now. We need people to give them the fuel and the spark.

Where We’re Going:

• Great Design Show We love design shows. We’ve had success in the past, and intend to have even more success. We want to approach design shows from a new perspective to engage and delight all that attend it.
• On Design On Design is the name of a series of design talks we are hosting through the year. We’d love it if we could all share a drink and listen to fantastic design talent share their ideas on design.
• Getting SDA Members Exposed to the World Many design opportunities exist outside of Edmonton, and we can’t wait for them to come to us. The SDA wants a strong presence of University of Alberta students at design shows across Canada, and we’re willing and wanting to help get you there.
• Partnerships Foster a strong design community within Edmonton by reaching out to local organizations within the University and Students’ Union, and national organizations.
