Introduction

Sweat of our Brow will be a retrospective glance at the hard work of University of Alberta student and alumni designers. Where did it come from, where is it going, and how does design benefit from the sweat of our brow?

Brief

Submit a design which benefits or has benefitted from the sweat of your brow. Respond to the theme in some way.

Work submitted must be in a finished or near-finished state, and include one or more elements of: industrial design, furniture, product design, graphic design, typography, or integrative design. There will be a limit of 3 pieces per student, and 1 for alumni.

Submission

Include a rationale with your designs of about 200 words or less. Tell us what the deal with your design is.

Send rationales and a small image of the piece (no larger than 1200px) to submissions@thesda.ca. Include the following information: your name(s), materials, and dimensions. Please keep in mind that submissions will be juried by a panel, so presentation is important.

Deadlines

Submissions: March 4th at midnight.
