Job Title: UX Designer

Job or Opportunity Description: LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a UX Designer in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Design and Product teams, you will be responsible for designing web content and delivering an excellent user experience for LawDepot products and websites. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver user-centric designs that improve key business metrics
Refine and redesign our website to create simple, beautiful user experiences for all screen types
Create wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes, then turn them into fully realized mockups
Prepare and integrate written content for finalized concepts
Work with cross functional team members to define design objectives and business requirements
Generate project specifications and collaborate on technical implementation plans with our developers
Design products through their entire project lifecycle and ensure deliverables are met
Review user research / quantitative data to create user personas and identify opportunities
Create surveys for research through various media platforms together feedback on user's ease of use and satisfaction interfacing on company website
Follow creative direction and execute project plans set out by Senior UX Designers and the UX Design Manager
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback
Adhere to style standards on typography and graphic design

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Post-secondary education in a Design related program
Experience in a User Experience (UX) Designer, User Interface (UI) Designer, Web Designer, Graphic Designer, or Visual Communications role
Proficiency with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
Impressive Design / UX portfolio showcasing work for a variety of screen types
Familiarity with the following UX disciplines: interaction design, information architecture, human centered design, user research, storyboarding, wireframe creation, concept design and prototyping
Experience designing responsive websites
Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of web design best practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
Ability to collaborate, ideate, explore solutions, give and receive feedback
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Agile processes would be an asset
