Job Title: Graphic Design Lead

Job or Opportunity Description: Summary

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Marketing, the Summer Graphic Design Intern is responsible for developing the in-house graphic design material as needed that will be used in a variety of mediums.

Placement end date window: June 17, 2024 - September 6, 2024.

Position Scope/Summary

Key Responsibilities

Develop graphics and other media content showcasing member businesses, Chamber activities, products and service offerings.

Develop graphics for our external and internal website.

Develop standardized graphic templates for recurring events.

Develop awards, plaques, posters, banners, invitations, web assets, programs and advertising material as needed.

Develop internal templates for letterheads.

Photo research and sourcing.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Student in Bachelor of Commerce and/or Business Administration degree or relevant post-secondary diploma in Communications and Marketing, Public Relations, or related discipline in Graphic Design.

Stong Microsoft Proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word, Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and Canva.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Adaptability and flexibility to anticipate and respond to the needs of a fast-paced working environment.

Ability to take initiative and work independently on individual assigned tasks and in a team environment. ·

Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.

Photography skills would be an asset.

Experience with production for digital platforms would be an asset.

Knowledge of video and animation would be an asset.
